Welding techniques at Aicher impresses NASA specialist.

In 2004 GETRAG, one of the leading manufacturers of drive systems and components in the world and a satisfied Aicher customer, manufactured selection shafts and gearboxes for the US market.

The design engineers in Untergruppenbach worked hard at the time to find a way of avoiding torque in selection rods. The experienced quality executive and supplier liaison specialist, Ted Gottlieb, who once worked under Wernher von Braun at NASA, came over from the USA to see how he could help them.
Just before Christmas 2004 Gottlieb visited Aicher Präzisionstechnik as well and had a good look at our welding technique.
Gottlieb's enthusiastic reaction: „Your welding method will solve our problem!“

And his enthusiasm didn't diminish in the slightest when eating with us the home killed meat with bread baked by the wife of the company's founder who, with her sound advice, continues to be a major asset to the company.
